How Do I Become an Electrician with No Experience?

A great way to become an electrician without experience is by completing the Electrical Application program at the Tulsa, Jacksonville or Houston campuses or the Electrical Technologies program at Tulsa Welding School in the Dallas metro. In as little as seven months, you can prepare for an entry-level role as an electrical apprentice.

Do I Need a License to Work as an Electrician?

To become a licensed electrician, it is recommended that you complete a diploma program and acquire 3 to 4 years of experience as an apprentice. This means that you must either work for a company with a license or have a contractor license of your own. Once you become a licensed electrician, you can work as an independent contractor and supervise your apprentices.
