For those looking to expand their welding knowledge and open doors to quality assurance roles, Tulsa Welding School now offers an Applied Science in Welding Inspection and Quality Management at its Dallas Metro campus.
This program combines the hands-on training of the Professional Welder program with advanced coursework in inspection standards and welding theory. Offered at the TWS Houston (Tulsa Welding School & Technology Center) and the Dallas Metro campus, the AAS in Welding Inspection & Quality Management program can be completed in as little as an additional 7 months.
Built on the TWS Professional Welder Program
The AAS degree builds on the core skills learned in the Professional Welder program, which teaches foundational techniques in structural and pipe welding using multiple welding processes. Students then go further, studying welding codes, inspection procedures, and metallurgical concepts that are not part of a typical welding curriculum.
This progression is ideal for those who want to continue working in the field while preparing for potential leadership roles or inspection jobs. It’s designed for learners who are ready to add a credential to their experience and gain a more detailed understanding of weld quality and compliance standards.
