Tulsa Welding School (TWS) is officially announcing the opening of its fifth campus, located in the Atlanta metro area. Set in Decatur, Georgia, this new location will offer hands-on training programs designed to prepare students for careers in the welding, electrical, and HVAC/R fields. With a focus on practical skill development, the Atlanta Metro campus continues TWS’s commitment to industry-driven training delivered by experienced instructors.
The campus will be open between 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, built to accommodate student’s scheduling needs.
Programs Offered at TWS Atlanta
Tulsa Welding School Atlanta Metro offers three focused training programs designed to help students build the practical skills needed for entry-level roles in the skilled trades:
Welding Specialist – 7 Months
This hands-on welding program trains students in structural and pipe welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, fluxcore, and stick processes. The curriculum is built to reflect the expectations of employers and emphasizes real-world applications. Graduates may be prepared to pursue welding opportunities in industries such as construction, shipbuilding, and manufacturing.

Refrigeration Technologies – 7 Months
This program prepares students to enter the HVAC/R industry by teaching the fundamentals of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. Training covers electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, diagnostics, and hands-on troubleshooting. The goal is to help students develop the skills needed to pursue roles in residential or commercial climate control systems.
Electrical Applications – 7 Months
The Electrical Applications program at TWS covers residential, commercial, and industrial wiring practices. Students learn core electrical theory, safety protocols, and how to read blueprints. The curriculum includes hands-on lab training designed to mirror field environments and help students prepare for entry-level electrical work in various sectors.
A New Space Built for Hands-On Learning
The Atlanta campus is located at 1287 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30032. This site was selected for its accessibility and proximity to growing demand for skilled labor across the region. With over 75 years of experience, TWS brings its student-focused approach to Georgia, giving learners the opportunity to develop practical trade skills in a supportive setting.
Classrooms and labs are designed to reflect the environments students will encounter in real job settings. You’ll train on the same types of equipment used by professionals, under the guidance of instructors who have spent time in the field.

Tulsa Welding School is proud to announce our newest program offering available at our Houston & Dallas Metro Campuses – Advanced Industrial Maintenance Technology! Learn the skills you need to take on the industries of manufacturing, distribution, energy production and facility maintenance in as few as 7 months.
