Electro-Mechanical Technologies

9 Month Program


This training program provides each student with a broad range of knowledge in electrical and mechanical technologies, along with heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. Career opportunities in this field are wide and growing. An added value to the program is the solar energy technology module, which includes an overview of the Photovoltaic (PV) Science with principles and application processes used in many solar powered systems.

Welding Specialist with Pipefitting

9.5 Month Program


The Welding Specialist with Pipefitting program prepares a graduate for entry level positions in structural, pipe and pipeline, and thin alloy welding, as well as for entry-level positions in pipefitting and steam fitting. In addition to the key welding processes learned in the Welding Specialist program, students also learn basic and advanced pipefitting skills.

Admissions Requirements for Electrical Lineworker Program

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be either a high school graduate or have your G.E.D
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Be eligible to obtain a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Provide proof of current medical insurance coverage by the start date of the term you select. (Students are required to keep current coverage for the duration of the program.)
  • Not have a felony conviction on your record
  • Weigh no more than 300 pounds due to weight restrictions of fall protection equipment
  • Complete the online learning readiness assessment.
  • Be physically and mentally fit to participate (official Medical Release form provided during enrollment process)
  • Proof of passing the DOT Physical, and our Doctor and Medical Release form signed by you and your doctor.

Electrical Technologies

7 Month Program


The Electrical Technologies program prepares students for entry-level job opportunities as an electrician. In as few as 7 months of hands-on training at Tulsa Welding School, you could be trained in the skills you need to maintain and service residential, commercial, and industrial electrical equipment.

Students will learn the fundamentals of electricity and solar power, residential and commercial wiring applications, low voltage usage with audio/video and security systems and programming, in-depth applications of motors, lighting, and the devices that control them (including PLCs) as well as exposure to various types of transformers.

Financial aid and scholarships available to those who qualify. Candidates need to refer to the scholarship information page to determine topic of essay (where applicable) and must meet all regular admissions requirements and be scheduled to start training prior to applying for a scholarship. If a student changes his/her re-enter date, the scholarship award may be forfeited. Scholarships are not transferable and most scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with any other scholarship TWS offers. In most cases, only one award will be given per student. If a student is eligible for multiple scholarships, the scholarship that is most beneficial to the student will be awarded. Scholarships will be distributed incrementally over the entire duration of the program. Scholarship eligibility requires continuous enrollment. Failure to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress may result in the probation and possible loss of scholarship. Termination from training may also result in the loss of a scholarship, which may increase your tuition obligation to TWS. Tuition charges will be based on the amount reflected on your Enrollment Agreement. See the reverse side of your Enrollment Agreement or the School Catalog for the school’s refund policy.
